April is Financial Literacy Month, and you may have seen other blogs on finances-related topics. Here we are going to look at some of the resources that CCPL has to offer for investing in the stock market.

Whether you are new to investing in the market or would like to diversify your portfolio, one of the best places to start is Value Line. Value Line can be accessed by going to the “Research and Learn” tab on the CCPL homepage.

Under Research, you’ll find “Research & Databases,” and clicking that will take you to a new page that looks like this: Once there, go to either “V” for Value Line or “Finance & Investment'' and find Value Line Library Elite. Choosing the “Investment Education” Tab will take you to Value Line University.

Here you can learn about the basics of investing, watch videos on investing, look into FAQ’s, and check out the Glossary for terms you may have heard but may be somewhat hazy about. If you have had some experience in investing, you can move on to parts 2, 3, and 4 on strategies, building a portfolio, and learning more about a specific stock.
