A talking book is a book like “Not ‘Til Tomorrow Phoebe” by Julie Zwillich that has been read aloud and recorded by someone. It’s a great way to hear your favorite story or get some new information while hanging out at home or doing your chores (hint, hint parents love this…lol). They can have pictures like “Golden Threads” by Suzanne Del Rizzo  and some are like watching a show or video like “Chicken, Pig, Cow” by Ruth Ohi. There are even some talking books that let you “turn” the page like “Baby Animals Playing” by Suzi Eszterhas.

Not only can you “read” the books, there are puzzles and games to play.

To borrow a talking book from Charles County Public Library, use your Kids’ Card or regular library card. You’ll need internet service to check out the book, but once you download it to your device you can listen without internet service. Once the book is due, it will automatically be deleted from your device and returned to the library. So no worrying about late fees!

Now what are you waiting for? Your next great adventure awaits or you can learn about something new all from a talking book. Check one out today.
