Directions:

Step One: Stack your 5-6 color construction paper together. Using your ruler, measure 2 inches from the bottom right corner and mark with a dot. Do the same step leading to the top of the paper. Take your ruler and connect the dots that you marked with a line. Cut the line to make the strips. 

Step Two: Fold the strips in half and cut. Fold the strips over one more time and cut again. Separate the pieces by the colors.

Step Three: Fold a piece in half. Place your thumb on the crease, using your other hand, trace your thumb using your pencil and cut along the drawn line.

Step Four: Yayy! You just created thumb hearts! Repeat this step for the rest of the pieces.

Step Five: Take your blue construction paper and fold it in half.

Step Six: Place glue on one side of the heart and glue down onto the blue folded construction paper. Remember to place glue on opposite sides to create the heart shape.

Step Seven: Use your colored pencils and markers to make designs. Write your own personal message inside!
