Creativebug is an online platform for all creatives, new and experienced. You can find videos about how to create things involving paint, yarn, markers, baked goods, etc. For example, they have a video on how to make fall cookies! Fall is also known as “spooky szn,” and what’s more spooky than horror movies? If you haven’t heard about Kanopy, this is the perfect time to be aware! Kanopy allows you to watch 6 movies for free each month! Sign up with your library card number and pin/password, and you’re all set. Perfect for spooky movie nights; just pop some popcorn, grab some candy, and press play!
Freegal is a free music app that allows you to stream up to 3 hours of music/videos a day, and you can also download 3 songs a week that you can keep forever. You can listen to songs, watch music videos, listen to audiobooks, and create your own playlists. Hoopla is a great resource for all my comic book lovers who like to read on the go but are not always able to fit or take their comics with them. Now you can read them on your phone or tablet! And what better way to celebrate fall and spooky season than with a good ole horror read? Hoopla has a ton of horror comics to choose from, but you can also find horror audiobooks, movies, songs, and even TV shows! You can borrow up to 10 titles a month with your library card.
Libby is a great resource, especially for those that like to celebrate the new seasons with food! You can find magazines such as Cook’s, Good Food, Bon Appetit, Taste of Home, and more.
