Our Curbside Pickup service is still available, but we’re making some changes to the process. Appointments are no longer needed. If you have received a notification that your holds are available here is how you can pick up your items:
Call the branch where you have been notified your holds are located
Have your library card ready so that we can access your account
A staff member will then prepare your items and let you know when you can head to the branch for pickup (typically a one to two hour wait time)
- Search the COSMOS online catalog to find materials you want to place on hold.
- Log into your account using your library card number and PIN. The library card number is printed under the barcode stripes on your card. If you have forgotten your PIN you can call your local branch phone number, or use our live chat service at www.ccplonline.org during regular library open hours.
- Place the items on hold and choose the most convenient library branch location where you would like to pick up your requested items.
- When you receive notification (via email, phone, or text) that your holds are ready for pickup, call the branch where your holds are waiting. Email, text or phone notifications will contain a link to the reservation page. You may change your notification method by logging into your COSMOS account.
A: Please bring your return items to the branch book drops. All book drops are open 24/7.
A: Yes, all of our branches are open with no appointment required. Click here for our hours of operation and information on other services available. We will announce additional services via email, social media, and our website as they become available.
A: Donations of books and other materials will still not be accepted at this time. Please check back for updates as we work to bring back this service.
A: Please let us know of any special needs you may have when calling to set up your pickup. Staff will do their best to accommodate you.
Q: I have gotten several notifications about holds of mine that are available. Do I have to make multiple pickup appointments?
A: No, we will check out all holds that are available for your library card at one time. If you want to pick up your whole households’ materials, please have all the library card numbers that have holds available ready when you call to arrange for pickup. Staff will do their best to collect all holds ready for you as of the morning of your appointment.
A: CCPL is no longer quarantining returned library materials. No fees will be charged to your account. There may be slight delays in processing, so please allow 5-7 days for your account to clear. If you still have questions, please contact one of our branches.
