
May Reading Challenges: Celebrate AANHPI & Jewish American Heritage Month
Join us this May as we celebrate both Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month and Jewish American Heritage Month with two special reading challenges!
How It Works
Participating is easy and you can complete both challenges at the same time. Simply:
- Read and log 300 minutes during the month of May
- Track your reading in Beanstack
- Once you finish, visit any CCPL branch to pick up your reward
Good news: Any reading you log in May counts toward both challenges, so you can earn rewards for each while enjoying the same great books.
AANHPI Heritage Month Challenge
Explore powerful stories and diverse voices from AANHPI authors and perspectives. From picture books to novels and nonfiction, this challenge highlights how storytelling helps us learn, connect, and better understand the world around us.

- Check out our curated list of 25 recommended titles
- Read at least one featured title to receive a custom book button
Jewish American Heritage Month Challenge
Celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of Jewish Americans through reading. Discover stories that inspire, educate, and connect readers of all ages.
- Complete 300 minutes of reading to earn a charm pen*
- Look for featured titles to enhance your reading experience
- Read at least one featured book to receive a custom book button
