Hispanic Heritage Month Challenge: September 15th – October 15th

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by discovering powerful stories, diverse voices, and rich cultural perspectives from Hispanic and Latino authors. From picture books to novels and nonfiction, this challenge invites readers of all ages to explore stories that celebrate culture, history, identity, and community.

How It Works

  • Complete 300 minutes of reading to earn a Hispanic Heritage Month Pen*
  • Check out our curated list of 25 recommended titles
  • Read at least one featured title to receive a custom book button

Hallow-Read: October 1st – 31st

Spooky season is upon us! Halloween is a time brimming with excitement, magic, and mischief! Get ready to satisfy your sweet tooth, indulge in some festive fun, and curl up with a hair-raising tale. Log your minutes and earn our hauntingly cool badges.

How It Works

  • Participating is easy, and you can complete the challenge at your own pace. Simply:
  • Read and log 300 minutes from October 1st through October 31st
  • Track your reading in Beanstack
  • Once you finish, visit any CCPL branch to pick up your very own cryptid…Mothman!*
