Introducing The Story Trail at Pisgah Park!

The Library has partnered with the Charles County Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism to bring a Story Trail to Charles County! The trail will be located at Pisgah Park and is ⅓-mile long. Along the trail, you will find excerpts from a special story. You can take your time making your way through the trail and enjoy the beautiful scenery while you read.

What is the Story Trail?

The Story Trail is a ⅓-mile long section in Pisgah Park with metal signs with excerpts from a story curated by the Charles County Public Library, specifically the Mobile Library staff. The purpose of the trail is to enjoy the park and your surroundings while reading a story with your family or friends.

Where is the Story Trail located?

The Story Trail is located in Pisgah Park

When is the Story Trail open?

The Story Trail is accessible during the normal operating hours of the park. The hours of operation and other park information can be found here on the Charles County Government website.

Who paid for the Story Trail?

The Story Trail is a special project in partnership with the Charles County Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism and was funded by the Charles County Public Library Innovation Fund project. Will the stories in the Story Trail change?

Yes, there will be a new story each quarter. Each story is specially selected by our Mobile Library staff.
