24-Hour Library Kiosk_Banner_8.25

The 24-Hour Library Kiosk located at the Nanjemoy Community Center serves the community as a convenient and accessible satellite location of the Charles County Public Library. The kiosk offers a wide selection of books and DVDs for checkout and provides free Wi-Fi within a 100-yard radius of the machine. The kiosk allows patrons to check out, renew, or return items, and pick up holds…all from an easy-to-use touchscreen!

The 24-Hour Library Kiosk was made possible by funding approved by the Charles County Board of Commissioners. The location at the Nanjemoy Community Center was chosen because it is an area that does not have a CCPL branch building, but does have a community in need of access to library resources.

How to Use the 24-Hour Library Kiosk:

  • Browse selections through the kiosk window. To view more books, select “Show More Items” on the touchscreen to rotate the book shelves.

  • Select “Check Out” when ready.

  • Scan your library card or type in your account number, review your account, then select “Next.”

  • Enter the desired book slot number, then retrieve your book from the materials slot. If checking out multiple items, enter the next book slot number. Then select “Done.”

Please note that the kiosk will not print any receipts.
