The product features exciting 3D and VR simulations to offer a next-generation of skilled trades training where you develop skills at your own pace through expert-led video lessons and digital trading simulations.
With SkillMill, you can:
Checking out a SkillMill license gives a user access to SkilMill’s suite of courses for 21 days. They can learn at their own pace in the comfort of their own home and complete as many of the offered courses as they’d like.
There is also a VR (Virtual Reality) component that allows you hands-on examples of real-world applications like plumbing, construction and more! A VR headset is required to use the VR material. Don’t have a VR headset of your own? Don’t worry! Each CCPL branch has a VR headset that can be checked out to use on-site in the branch’s meeting room.
SkillMill sessions may be booked for 2-hour blocks and are subject to meeting room availability. Meeting room fees are waived for SkillMill checkouts. You can book time in a CCPL meeting room here. Make sure to check the “VR Headset (SkillMill)” box when completing your reservation to have your meeting room fees waived!
Never used a VR headset before? Curious about what the VR component of SkillMill’s offering looks like? CCPL has four demonstrations of the VR simulator happening each month!
