Charles County Public Library hosted a dance performance Aug. 1 at its Potomac Branch. “Prakriti Dance-Through Fish Eyes” was presented and performed by Madhuvanthi Sundararajan, who has has been trained in the art since age 6.

“Through Fish Eyes” shares the wonders of marine life through the language of dance and illuminates the ways in which humans are affecting the world’s oceans.

Prakriti Dance is a performing company that showcases Indian performance arts. Sundararajan told Southern Maryland News the company performs all over the Washington, D.C., metropolitan region at libraries and schools. The event was part of the library’s “After Hours” series.
