CCPL Celebrates Black History Month!

Join us at CCPL as we celebrate Black History Month and honor the powerful legacy, creativity, and contributions of Black individuals and communities. Throughout February, we invite you to explore a dynamic lineup of programs and resources that uplift Black voices and stories, past, present, and future. From engaging storytelling and thoughtful conversations to hands-on art workshops and author-focused events, there’s something for all ages to discover and enjoy.

This year, we’re also excited to introduce Buttons for Black History, a fun and interactive way to celebrate Black authors and their work. Read (or reread!) one of our featured books by a Black author during the month of February to earn a collectible button inspired by that title. As a special finale, attend our Black Voices, Bright Futures Local Author Panel and Book Fair on February 28 to earn an exclusive bonus button and connect with local Black authors.

Explore the featured books, programs, and resources below, and join us in celebrating Black history, creativity, and storytelling all month long.
