There are so many resources available for kids these days to keep you learning and having fun during this pandemic and we wanted to share one with you that we find really exciting, Vidcode Virtual Coding Clubs!
Vidcode is an online coding platform for kids to learn how to code. This platform is designed for kids ages 10 and older to learn coding from the absolute basics. They learn Javascript Programming through various creative projects that gradually get more challenging as you learn new skills.
The Virtual Coding Club meetings every Tuesday at 3pm for 45 minutes. After three student sessions, you’ll be able to switch over to the more advanced club on Thursdays. These clubs are available for free through Zoom. Signing up is free and easy through the link above but please feel free to reach out to the Vidcode team or the Library if you have any questions about getting started.
If you love Vidcode, please be sure to let us know so we can look into offering it for customers once everything re-opens!
Also, if you want to learn even more about coding, be sure to check out our digital offerings of coding books for kids. Hoopla has a fantastic series called “Kids Get Coding” that focuses on different aspects of coding in depth.
Happy coding!
