As you may know, CCPL’s Mobile Services fleet has gotten bigger! We still visit the community with our Mobile Library and van, but recently, we also introduced the CCPL Discovery Lab! This new mobile lab’s mission is to bring technology to our patrons by visiting them in their communities. With a wide range of devices and gadgets, we hope to give our patrons a chance to test out the newest, hottest tech. One of the most popular devices you’ll find on the Discovery Lab are the Meta Quest 2 virtual reality headsets.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Meta Quest 2, it’s a virtual reality headset with higher frame rates, crisper visuals, and a ton of new games. They allow for a fully immersive experience that really puts you in the game! Keep your eye on our event calendar to see when the Discover Lab will be near you, and come try out the headsets or one of our other fun gadgets!

Beat Saber

Beat Saber is a unique VR rhythm game where your goal is to slash the beats (represented by small cubes) as they are coming at you.
Every beat indicates which saber you need to use and also the direction you need to match. All the music is composed to perfectly fit the handmade levels.
Our goal is to make players almost dance while cutting the cubes and avoiding obstacles.
Each cut is strongly supported by great sound and visual effects to emphasize the rhythm.
The Climb
