Paint over a stencil to create a unique piece of art!

Materials

  • Acrylic Paint

  • White Paper/Cardstock

  • Pencil

  • Scissors

  • Tape (Masking Tape Works Well)

  • Paintbrush or Sponge

  • Plastic bag or newspaper to keep surface area clean

Instructions

  1. Place a paper bag or newspaper down on the surface you will be working on.
  2. Then, take a piece of cardstock and trace or draw the design you will be painting over.
  3. Cut out your stencil and tape it on top of a large piece of paper or cardstock.  Make sure the stencil is taped firmly so paint does not get underneath.
  4. Choose your first paint color and begin brushing or dabbing over your stencil.  Use as many colors as you like! 
  5. Allow your painting to dry.  Then, carefully remove your stencil.
  6. You have your own stencil art!
